Of Theatre & Bikinis DVD

About Of Theatre & Bikinis - by Filmmaker Jeff Kirkendall:

Of Theatre & Bikinis is an independent short comedy which my production partner James Carolus and I produced in Summer, 2003 in Upstate New York using digital video equipment.  The movie was shot primarily in Albany, Menands, and Saratoga Springs, NY.  The main location used, referred to as "the bike grounds" in the movie, was Congress Street Park in Saratoga.  Albany's Washington Park was also
featured in some shots, including one of the girls walking over a scenic bridge.
Of Theatre & Bikinis was my sixth independent production.  A trailer was produced
in 2005, and an early version of the movie was screened locally in 2006.  The final
version was completed in 2007 and shown at festivals and screenings around the
area.  The movie features several actors from my previous productions, in addition to many new faces.  Of Theatre & Bikinis is now being released here for the first time commercially on DVD.

About Filmmaker Jeff Kirkendall:

Jeff Kirkendall is a prominent independent filmmaker and actor residing in
the Upstate New York Albany area.  Jeff has been passionately involved in
making and promoting independent movies since 1996, and since that time
has written, produced & directed six movies, two of them being features.
His most recent feature was the horror movie The Temptress, and his
most recent short film was the comedy Of Theatre & Bikinis, both
produced entirely in the Capital Region of Upstate New York utilizing local
talent.  In addition to his own directorial projects, Jeff has served as
Associate Producer & Editor on movies produced by other area filmmakers,
including the features The Edge of Reality and London After Midnight,
among others.  Jeff was also spotlighted in the independent documentary
Every Pixel Tells A Story from Times Union writer Peter Hanson, which
includes interviews with several leading Capital Region filmmakers shooting
in the groundbreaking digital video format.  Additionally, he has been involved
in promoting area filmmaking for many years by organizing events such as
1999's Area Filmmakers Fantastic Film Festival and 2003's Shocktoberfest,
both held at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY.  Also, Jeff was
a featured filmmaker at the 2005 Dead of Winter Free Film Festival and the
2006 Independent Film Festival, both held at the New York State Museum
in Albany, New York.  These events received extensive media coverage
in publications such as The Gazette, Metroland and the Times Union
newspapers, among others, and television stations such as Capital News 9.
Jeff has also hosted independent film screenings at the Historic Madison
Theater in Albany, New York, including the successful 2007 Night Of B-Movie

The Green-Eyed Monster
A short horror movie written & directed by Jeff Kirkendall
Status: Completed
This movie is a case of something old, something new. The Green-Eyed Monster is
a short horror movie I produced along with actor/filmmaker Timothy Jay Hatch in 1999. For several years the movie has been shown in the Upstate New York area at film festivals and public screenings. I'm now happy to announce I have a 2008 re-mastered version available for purchase on DVD. This will be the first commercial release for
The Green-Eyed Monster.

In The Green-Eyed Monster a young woman named Pamela (Kelly Chaisson Warner) is contacted by a mysterious voice from "beyond the grave" over a dead channel on the radio one Halloween night. Could this otherworldly house call be her salvation. . . or the beginning of her end? The movie runs approximately 25 minutes and was produced in Upstate New York's Capital Region. The Green-Eyed Monster DVD is available for purchase through online distributor filmbaby.com. See the Merchandise page for details.

The Green-Eyed Monster DVD

About The Green-Eyed Monster - by Filmmaker Jeff Kirkendall:

The Green-Eyed Monster is an independent short horror movie I produced
along with actor/filmmaker Timothy Jay Hatch in 1999 in Upstate New York.
The movie was shot in Grafton and Saratoga Springs, New York.  Tim and I
produced The Green-Eyed Monster concurrently along with another horror
short called 3 To Murder, the prequel to my vampire feature The Temptress.
Interestingly enough, several of the same actors appear in both shorts.
The Green-Eyed Monster was premiered at The 1999 Area Filmmakers
Fantastic Film Festival at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY, and
then shown at several more Upstate New York film festivals and screenings
over the years.  In 2008 the movie was re-mastered from the original source
material, and is now being released here for the first time on DVD.
