For those of you in the Upstate New York area, writer Peter Hanson's documentary "Every Pixel Tells A Story: How One Community Joined The Digital Filmmaking Revolution" will be broadcast on the Albany PBS affiliate WMHT Monday, July 7th at 10pm. This documentary which I took part in is about low-budget independent digital filmmaking in Upstate New York and has already been issued on DVD & VHS. (For a complete description of the documentary, see my Acting Credits page.) I'd like to thank everybody who attended the Upstate New York Capital Region Premiere of "The Edge of Reality" this past Friday, Sept. 19th at Broadway Joe's Theatre Grille in Saratoga Springs. I'd like to thank the students and staff of Ichabod Crane High School in Valatia, NY for inviting filmmakers Joe Bagnardi, Bruce G. Hallenbeck and I to be judges at the first ICC student film
festival. The event was held this past Friday, April 30th and was hosted by the Sophomore Class.
We enjoyed watching several interesting and entertaining films and discussing filmmaking in the
Q & A after the awards ceremony. Best of luck to all the student filmmakers involved, and here's
hoping the festival will become an annual event.

I'd like to congratulate independent filmmaker Michael Kazlo II on the premiere of his vampire feature "Bloodlust". The movie, which was produced mostly in and around the Glens Falls/Lake George area of Upstate New York, screened at AIMIE'S DINNER & MOVIE in Glens Falls, NY on October 27th, and at Crossgates Mall Cinema 12 in Albany, NY on October 28th. This month two new pages have been added to the site. First, on Other Projects Page 3 there is information about a music video I'm working on with Upstate New York-based singer Katrina Marie.

I'd like to thank Public Affairs Director Chris Iorio and host Gary McLouth for my recent guest appearance on the television program The Subject Matters. My episode of this half-hour interview
show aired Saturday, August 6th at 6:30 A.M. on WYPX TV55 (PAX) in the Upstate New York Capital Region viewing area. In the interview I discussed independent filmmaking, and I also showed clips from
"The Temptress" and "The Edge of Reality". The episode is scheduled to be re-aired at a later date.

This horror anthology feature was produced and directed by independent filmmaker Joe Bagnardi. I served as Associate Producer & Editor on the movie. Thanks go out this month to independent filmmaker Jeff Burns and the organizers of the Albacon Science Fiction convention held October 7-9 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Albany, NY. This year Albacon featured a mini film festival of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror films on Friday night from 8:00 p.m. until midnight. Several short films from Upstate New York Capital Region filmmakers were shown. Included in this lineup was the Bigfoot story The Quarry, which is the 3rd segment of the feature-length anthology horror film "The Edge of Reality". Director Joe Bagnardi, his son Sean and I attended the screening. I'd like to especially thank everybody who came to watch the films and support the filmmakers. held at the museum, and I hope everyone enjoyed seeing the original classics "Horror of Dracula", "Carnival of Souls", "The Haunting" and "Night of the LivingDead" on the big screen. I'd also like to thank independent filmmakers Joe Bagnardi and Bruce & Rosa Hallenbeck for joining me in hosting the event. The first official promotional movie photo for "Shadow Tracker, Vampire Hunter: Resurrection"
(which was previously called "Shadow Tracker: Resurrection") from JB Productions has been added
to Other Projects Page 2. The movie is a sequel to 1998's "Shadow Tracker: Vampire Hunter".
This new independent horror feature is being produced in the Capital Region of Upstate New York.
I'm working on it along with filmmaker Joe Bagnardi, who directed the first film and returns once again to direct the sequel. And just a quick reminder that the horror anthology feature "The Edge of Reality", which is the most recent release from JB Productions, is now available for viewing at Video On Demand (www.vod.com), a website which offers streaming rentals and full downloads for films.

The entire Very Scary Productions website has been redesigned. Those who have visited the site before will probably notice that the biggest change is the new menu design. The main site menu now appears on the upper left and bottom of each page and has a new look which I hope everybody will like. Also I've tried to make things a bit more orderly by consolidating several pages. The movie posters for the independent features "The Temptress", "The Edge of Reality" and "London After Midnight", which had been on separate promotional pages, are now on their respective movie pages.
